Princess Crowns

Hear Ye! Hear Ye!
Calling all princesses of the Kingdom to a royal celebration!
It's easy with some great wall decorations, Princess Centerpiece, and Princess Banner. Greet each special princess with a Light Up Tiara Jewel Tiara or Light Up Star Wand

The honored princess can have her very own Silver Tinsel Wand or Gold Tinsel Wand, Jewel Tiara and Child's Birthday Sash. This Rosebud Flower Basket makes a cute centerpiece or write each princess' name on a cute Jeweled Place Card w/ Frame or use this White Rose Cardholder.

Every castle has treasure so let them burst a Birthday Cake Pinata or Disney Princess Pinata and see what they find.

Make A Wish
Have each child see how many ping pong balls they can get in a bucket. But they must make a wish before they toss the ball.
The one who gets most of her wishes in wins.

Bubbles, Beads and Pearls or Make A Candy Necklace are always a big hit, and both are perfect party starters. Let those who arrive early get be-jeweled and play with bubbles while they wait for all the guests to arrive.

Gather all the fun dress-up clothing you can find (or borrow from friends)...fun, frilly, foo-foo dresses (size is completely irrelevant), Feather Boas, White Gloves, faux fur wraps, high-heeled play shoes, capes, etc. As each guest arrives, invite her into the royal wardrobe to "dress up". After each guest has selected an outfit befitting a princess, apply some royal makeup Candy Lipstick,. Girls ages 3-8 love this part! Finally, a castle party just wouldn’t be complete without Tiaras, scepters Princess Crowns, Deluxe Pink Boas, and Child's Princess Sash. A Princess Costume would make a delightful gift for the birthday Princess, and be terrific additions to a dress-up box for many years to come.

You can even turn your dog into a royal pet with a princess dog costume, includes satin cape and hat.

Palace Parade
After all the party guests have "dressed up", have the birthday child lead a palace parade through the backyard or through the house with the help of a tambourine or other musical instrument. The beaming smiles of the children during the spirited parade will provide a perfect photo opportunity and some priceless video footage.

Dragon Egg Hunt
This castle version of a classic egg hunt is a kingdom-wide search for dragon eggs as opposed to Easter eggs. Make a proclamation stating that the Queen has asked all her subjects to help...a new batch of fire-breathing dragons is about to hatch in her magical kingdom! Use plastic Easter eggs, and for each egg found, reward the children with one golden chocolate coin or wrapped piece of candy. This game is a perfect lead in for the next game.

Slay the Dragon
Prior to the party, fill approximately 3-4 pink or lavender water Balloons per child. After all the dragon eggs have been found, gather the children in a circle for a quick fairytale. Starting with "Once upon a time, in a magical kingdom, there lived a beautiful Queen named (birthday girl), etc. All was happy in the kingdom until one day the Queen discovered that one of the dragon eggs had hatched and a mighty, fierce, ugly, fire-breathing dragon was running rampant! (Hold up a "cracked" egg left over from the Dragon Egg Hunt). The royal wizard mixed up a big batch of "Palace Potion", and the Queen needs your help to slay the dragon!" Have dad, or another good sport, pose as the dragon. A green shirt and some "fire" (craft foam or orange streamers) dripping from his mouth make an appropriate costume. Have all the subjects in the kingdom pelt the dragon with the pink palace potion (water balloons) as he runs and growls at them. Guaranteed to create squeals of delight...only dad gets soaked...and everyone lives happily-ever-after!

"Someday My Prince Will Come"
Play this princess version of the tried and true party game of Hot Potato using a Mini Slipper. Have the children stand in a circle. While the music is playing, they need to pass the shoe to one another as quickly as possible. When the music stops, the child holding shoe will be out. Continue playing until only one child remains. A tiny "glass slipper" makes an adorable prize for each child participating in this game.

Moat Mayhem
A traditional tug-of-war with a castle twist...divide the children into two teams. Use our dark blue Water Gossamer to create a realistic illusion of water. Add a few plastic snakes and stuffed or plastic alligators, and yell GO!

Musical Tiaras
Play this game using the same concept as the classic game of musical chairs...one less tiara than there are children for each round. Place Rhinestone Tiaras or Sequin Tiaras on a table that the Princesses must walk around while the music is playing. When the music is turned off, the girls must scramble to put on a tiara. The child without a tiara must leave the game and the game continues with one less crown until there is one child remaining – the Queen! The tiaras can then be used as favors!

Dragon Piñata
A wonderful Dragon Piñata to slay is a great way to conclude your event and we’ve yet to find a child who doesn’t want to take a swing at one at a party! Try using a Scepter as the "bat".

Mermaid Races
Wrap green crepe paper around guests' legs (from below the knees to ankles) to turn them into mermaids. Set up starting and finishing lines in your living room or back yard and have the mermaids race. The guest who hops across the finish line first wins a prize.

Witches' Hats
You'll need fudge-striped shortbread cookies. Hershey kisses, and a tube of orange decorator icing. Attach a chocolate kiss to the chocolate bottom of each cookie with decorator icing. Pipe icing around the base of chocolate kisses and draw a bow or buckle to finish!

Pass the Apple
Just like hot potato but whoever gets caught with the poison apple is out.

Royal Punch
1 can Hawaiian Punch
1/2 gallon pineapple sherbet
20-02 liter bottle of ginger ale
Freeze a can of Hawaiian Punch fruit juice until slushy. Pour into a punch bowl. Add 1/2 gallon pineapple sherbet and two bottles of ginger ale.

Chicken Fingers
A medieval favorite!
2 tablespoons butter or margarine
1/2 cup all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon paprika
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon pepper
1 1/2 pounds boneless skinless chicken breasts, cut crosswise into 1 1/2-inch strips
Heat oven to 425ºF. Melt butter in rectangular pan, 13x9x2 inches, in oven.
Mix flour, paprika, salt and pepper. Coat chicken with flour mixture. Toss with melted butter in pan.
Bake uncovered 15 minutes. Turn chicken strips; bake 10 to 15 minutes longer or until no longer pink in center.
Makes 6 servings
